Glenview - Exterior PaintingRequest a Free Estimate
Changing the exterior look of your home is a big step. It requires a lot of planning, and a lot of homeowners are reticent to make the commitment to a certain color for fear they won’t like it once the job is done. At Castino Painting and Home Services, that’s not the case. We provide professional exterior home painting services to homeowners in Glenview, IL, as well as other North Shore communities across Chicago, and we’re committed to our customers being 100% satisfied.
Selecting Exterior Paint Colors
When people repaint their homes, they generally pick two or three colors for the whole job. The first color is the main color of the home, called the body color. The second color, usually a few shades darker or lighter, is used for accents. If a third color is chosen, it may be a contrasting color or just a third shade, but it is typically used for things like shutters and the door.
For help visualizing what a home’s new paint job will look like, here at Castino Painting and Home Services, we have technology that uses photos of your home to virtually apply the colors. This way, you can see an accurate representation of what your home will look like with its new paint job. Our paint experts will make sure that you love the work we do.
A message about lead paint and the new EPA Mandate
A new EPA mandated Lead Renovation, Repair and Painting (RRP) program went into effect on 4/22/10 and was updated on 7/1/10. This program is designed to protect against lead-based paint hazards associated with renovation, repair and painting. This program mandates that contractors working in homes and child-occupied facilities built before 1978 be trained and certified in lead-safe work practices. Castino has been “lead certified” and we are following all EPA rules and regulations. Our Certification Number is NAT-19937-1. As of 7/1/10, homeowners cannot opt out of this mandate. Castino has the right to refuse any job dealing with lead paint. Non-compliance carries a $32,500 fine for contractors. Please call us with any questions or concerns.
